The Book of Amos is usually dated as being written mid 8th Century BC. In chapter 1v1 we see that Amos preached "2 years before" an earthquake. Archeological findings unearthed at Hazor in northern Palestine show that an unusually strong earthquake occurred about 760 BC. more...
